Director of Product Management 

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Being a subject matter expert for current and upcoming market trends in big data and embedded analytics adoption, through client interaction and other market research
  • Defining and Designing product features that customers will love at each layer of our platform
  • Working closely with engineering to deliver new features and product releases
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders inside and outside the company – including customers, partners, sales, marketing, documentation, support, and professional services to gather requirements, align expectations, and ensure successful adoption of the product
  • Evangelizing our product at conferences, on webinars and through blog posts

Requirements:

  • Prior working experience with software product management experience – including as the Agile product owner role
  • Hands on data and analytics experience, preferably on a modern data stack
  • Experience holding stakeholder roadmap reviews and eliciting requirements from stakeholders and customers
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills, including experience presenting on webinars and at conferences
  • Knowledge of modern data sources and analytics – including streaming, non-relational stores; with experience of systems such as Hadoop, Impala, Spark, NoSQL, Elastic, Solr, BigQuery, Redshift, Tableau, etc
  • Customer facing experience as a sales / solutions engineer or professional service consultant
  • Experience working in a larger multi-scrum team organization
  • Familiarity with Linux, Cloud deployment architectures, and Enterprise Security requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience

 

Full-Stack Software Engineer

We allow users to explore and gain insights from a wide variety of data sources, visualizing billions of records in the blink of an eye.  We turn data into perspective, and empower our customers to fully realize the potential of their evolving, real time analytics.

Every part of our product needs to handle data at massive scale, from impressive visualizations to streaming data services. Our Senior Software Engineers provide technical leadership on scrum teams of 5 to 8 engineers, working on critical aspects of our flagship data visualization application. Not only do they design and develop software, they also design and manage our incremental rollout plans for larger features that need to be rapidly released in smaller components.

Experience with:

  • Java 8+
  • JavaScript / ES6 / Typescript
  • Apache Spark
  • Spring Boot
  • ReactJS
  • Docker

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, deployment, maintenance and improvement of high-performance, Big Data software.
  • Autonomous management of individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Keeping software components loosely coupled as we grow.
  • Contribution to improving our continuous delivery infrastructure.
  • Participation in recruiting and mentoring of engineering talent.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Software development experience in a team environment using distributed source control, continuous integration, and code quality analysis tools.
  • Object-oriented and functional programming experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Education & Experience: 

  • Experience with Kafka or other streaming technology.
  • Experience with Cloudera, Hortonworks, and other big data platforms.
  • Experience with Docker or public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google, IBM, etc.).
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Publicly visible code samples or open source contributions.
